Serving Those Who Served. Restoring Hope Through Connection, Nature, and Healing.
Last Call Ranch & Retreat is born from lived experience. A grassroots movement founded by a Veteran and former First Responder, Last Call R&R is dedicated to combatting suicided among the ranks, increasing quality of life, and guiding veterans, first responders, and their families toward total mind, body, and spiritual wellness. Through all natural, holistic modalities and the grounding, relational presence of horses on the ranch, we create sacred space for connection and renewal-offering peer support, spiritual care, and a path back to purpose.
Honoring Those Who Answered the Call. Supporting Those Who Still Carry It.
The Mission Continues
For generations, our veterans and first responders have answered the call when others needed them most. The weight of service does not always end when the uniform comes off or the shift ends.
Last Call Ranch & Retreat was created as a place where those who have carried the burden for others can fin connection, purpose, and wholeness.
Through peer support, equine experiences, nature-based retreats, and holistic wellness opportunities, we walk alongside veterans, first responders, and their families as they rediscover strength, belonging, and hope.
Why Horses Are Central to Our Healing Work
Horses are at the heart of Last Call Ranch & Retreat. As highly intuitive and relational beings, they offer nonjudgmental presence, honest feedback, and a powerful mirror for emotional regulation and trust. For those who have lived in survival mode, horses help restore connection to the body, the present moment, and one another- often without the need for words. Their presence invites safety, accountability, and renewal in ways that traditional settings cannot.
The Story Behind Last Call
Last Call Ranch & Retreat was born from a lifetime of service, a personal journey of healing, and the belief that no Veteran, first responder, or family member should ever have to walk through life’s hardest moments alone.
Founder Jodie Lemons, a Veteran, former first responder, and federal law enforcement officer, knows firsthand the invisible wounds that often accompany a life of service. After discovering healing through nature, plant based medicines, adaptive sports, community and holistic approaches to wellness, she felt called to create a place where others could find that same sense of peace.
That calling grew strongest while volunteering with the Warhorse Project. When the organization unexpectedly closed, a small group of dedicated volunteers, who became like family, stepped forward to preserve its mission. Today, several of those horses have found a permanent home at Last Call Ranch & Retreat, which is honored to continue that legacy while stewarding the very land where so much healing first began.
At Last Call Ranch & Retreat, every person who walks through our gate is welcomed with dignity, compassion, and the reminder that their story is not over. The best is yet to come…
